Privacy Policy
Paird is a mentorship matching service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We keep this simple and direct.
What we collect
When you apply as a mentee or mentor, we collect the information you provide in the application form, which may include:
- Name and email address
- Phone number (optional)
- LinkedIn profile URL (optional)
- Career field, job title, employer, and years of experience
- Career goals, learning preferences, and availability
- Educational background (for mentees)
- Mentorship style and capacity preferences
We do not collect payment information. We do not collect profile photos. Matching is based entirely on the written information you provide.
How we use your information
Your information is used solely to:
- Evaluate your application and determine compatibility with potential matches
- Facilitate a mentorship introduction if a strong match is identified
- Contact you about your application status
We do not sell your data. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share your information with third parties except as described below.
Who sees your information
Your application is reviewed by the Paird team. If a match is identified, relevant profile information (not your full application) may be shared with a prospective mentor or mentee as part of a facilitated introduction. You will be notified before any introduction is made.
Data storage and security
Application data is stored securely using Netlify Forms and Supabase, both of which are SOC 2 compliant platforms. Data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS and at rest. Access to your application data is restricted to authorised Paird team members.
Data retention
We retain your application data for as long as you are an active participant in the Paird programme or for up to 24 months after your last interaction, whichever comes first. You may request deletion at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Withdraw your application at any time

Cookies
Paird does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. The site uses a service worker for performance caching of static assets only. No personal data is stored in browser storage on the public site.
Children
Paird is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and post notice at joinpaird.com. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
